New Service! By popular demand, Star Gazing Farm now offers a cat boarding service for a limited number of cats. We have a dedicated room in our farmhouse where your cat will not need to interact with our felines or canines, but can sit at the window and watch the sheep and fantasize about chasing the ducks. Heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer, and equipped with toys, furniture for climbing, and scratching posts, this is not your average cat kennel! We give each cat who visits a lot of individual attention and
love! If more than one cat is boarding at one time, we will use extra large (great dane sized) crates and alternate exercise periods and play time in the open room.
What
do you need to bring?
- Your cat's litterbox, bed, food, food bowl, and water bowl, and any toys or comforts from home.
- Your veterinarian's name and number, your emergency contact
information, and any specific information on the cat's medical conditions,
if any.
- Information on your cat's preferred feeding schedule,
including quantities and any restrictions.
- We use clumping litter and scoop once daily - if your cat needs to use a special kind of litter, please bring enough to last the boarding period.
What do we provide?
- Towels, sheets, and pillows, for bedding, baskets to lie in.
- Scratching posts, window views, and large crates (if more than one cat is boarding at a time).
- Lots of cat toys.
- Cat treats (pending your approval).
- Cat litter (clumping kind)
Medical concerns?
Does your cat require special medical attention? We are comfortable administering oral and topical medications, as well as IM and subcutaneous shots. Costs
Boarding:
Single cat - $20 per day
Bonded pair of cats - $30 per day
Cats needing regular medical attention (shots, fluids, etc.) are an additional $5 per day.
Grooming and nail clipping is also available for an additional
$10.
Who are we?
We have been owned by cats for more than 17 years. Current feline
residents are Rico (adopted from the Washington Animal Rescue League), Otis (a West Virginia native, adopted from a family whose other cats he was terrorizing), and barn cat Oscar de Leon, adopted from a feral cat specialist. We are a founding member of MetroPets Online.
We are more than happy to provide you with references from our regular
visitors, and you can come out and visit before you decide - we want to make sure you are comfortable with where you will leave your precious pet while you go on holiday. |
