Star Gazing Farm provides a bunny sitting service in a dedicated room just for the rabbits. We have 2 story condos as well as extra playpens, all different kinds of hay to choose from, fresh greens from the garden (seasonal), and lots of toys. Some rabbits that have come to visit required administration of medicine, special diets, and injections of subcutaneous fluids. We give each bunny who visits a lot of individual attention and love!
What
do you need to bring?
Your rabbit(s)' litterbox, water bottle or bowl, and some toys or towels that will make them feel at home.
Your veterinarian's name and number, your emergency contact information, and any specific information on the rabbit(s)' medical conditions, if any.
Information on your rabbit(s)' preferred feeding schedule, including quantities and any restrictions.
If you don't use carefresh litter, please bring the litter that you prefer.
What do we provide?
Orchard grass and timothy hay, fresh greens (from the garden if the season
is right), and carefresh litter. Of course also toys and loving care!

Costs
Boarding:
Single rabbit - $10 per day
Bonded pair - $12 per day
Trios
- $15 a day
Rabbits needing regular medical attention (shots, fluids, etc.) are $12 per day.
Grooming and nail clipping is also available for an additional
$10.
Notice: due to rising costs of supplies we will be raising our rates slightly as of January 1. This is the first time we've ever increased our rates. The new charges for boarding will be: Single rabbit: $12 per day Thank you for your understanding and continued patronage! |
Who are we?
We have been owned by rabbits for more than 8 years. Current lagomorph
residents are Chucho (adopted from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington), Betty Boop (adopted from the DC Animal Shelter), and Juancito (seized by Morgan County, WV animal control in a cruelty case). We are long time members
of the House Rabbit Society,
and founding member of MetroPets Online.
We also support the work of Rabbitwise, an advocacy and educational organization for rabbits. We are more than happy to provide you with references from our regular
visitors.
