Born approximately 1998
Louisa was living all alone on a farm in Maryland. Her owner, a disabled Vietnam Veteran, was facing going into a wheelchair and realized she needed a new place to go.
When she first arrived here, it was nearly impossible to get near her – she was so very shy. She also hadn’t been sheared in a long time, and needed to put on a little weight. Little by little she has integrated with the flock, gained weight, and enjoys hanging out in front of the big fan with the sheep. She loves Jean-Claude and the two of them tour the farm together every day.
She is still very shy with people, but seems quite comfortable with the sheep, and has learned that this farm provides good food and shelter and is now a happy llama!
