Henry and his friend Nicole were found wandering loose in Montgomery county and picked up by animal control. They were in pretty bad shape and very mistrustful of people. Happily we were able to work with animal control and found that these dogs were truly farm, working dogs. They are now happily wandering the farm and taking care of the sheep and alpacas. Henry is particularly shy – he shows signs of having been hit before (he recoils if you try to pet him), but he loves to wag his tail and smile his toothy smile. We don’t know how old he is – his teeth look like that of an older dog, and he appears to be a bit stiff in the morning so he may be an older dog.
