Meet Bubba!


Lt. Bubba Skinner is a Katahdin sheep (a hair sheep breed) who was running loose in Burtonsville, Maryland. He was terrified.  A wonderful lady let him into her pasture and cared for him.  He was still very shy and scared when he arrived here but quickly found a fast friend in Kimiko and the other sheep. Meet Bart!

Bart was born in October of 2016 to a momma who had no milk for him.  To add insult to injury, he had a birth defect, a congenital condition called Kyphosis, an upward bowing of the spine like a camel.  He also had an inwardly rolled eyelid (Entropian).  Poor little dude! Madison the Sheep

Madison is a mama’s boy. He was raised as lone bottle baby and so didn’t bond as much with the other sheep as he did with me. He is one of the most friendly sheep here on the farm, and routinely follows me around, trying to go wherever I do (even into small spaces). During the winter he looks distinctly like a buffalo.

Angel the Sheep


Angel is not only game to ride in the passenger seat of cars to go and meet people, she has a lot of moxie! She’s told all of the dogs off on several occasions, and hangs out primarily with the alpacas as their mascot and official food taster. [read more]

Gruff the sheep

Gruff is a naughty rascal but so endearing! He has been known to ride in the cab of our pickup truck to attend educational and fundraising events, and he’s quite the ‘meeter and greeter’. He also makes extremely beautiful wool, and we’ve woven shawls and rugs from his beautiful fleece.
