The garden at Star Gazing Farm has gone through many iterations. Most of these have had direct input from Mr. Newman Goat. That is, he put the garden into his mouth and took care of it for us.
We have now fenced off a quarter acre that is strictly a no goat zone (although once or twice the cows have managed to get in). We have also realized that growing tasty vegetables is not our forte. Herbs and berry bushes, however, are.
2013 was a terrific year for catnip, in particular, and our “Gimme That! Catnip” toys have been beta tested by highly qualified cats and found to be “Just Purrfect”. We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in planting, weeding, and cultivating the land. If that’s you, please fill out our Volunteer Application!
It seems that animals love to bust fences, doors, and many other necessary items. We have a fantastic handyman team who patrols for these problems, and also does upgrades to buildings, fixtures, insulation, and much more. We are always interested in having handy people volunteer at the farm!
